‘SPECIALGUEST’ LAUNCHES AT ARTS DISTRICT LOS ANGELES
APRIL 13, 2022
Banking on over a decade of entrepreneurial know-how, Clique-Now founder Mylen Yamamoto-Tansingco merged minds with UPRISERS founder Michelle Hanabusa to kick-off 'specialguest' which aims to connect underrepresented small businesses with legacy brands by way of vital and strategic tie-ups.
specialguest is committed to nurturing a conscientiously thought system that desires beyond financial gains, and greatly cares for the people and the environment. From Tansingco’s days on Shark Tank pitching Cropsticks and managing talent through Clique-Now, to Hanabusa’s experience establishing the community-based streetwear brand, UPRISERS and co-founding Hate Is A Virus, the team is enthusiastic to build community. Clique-Now is now headquartered at specialguest in Arts District, Los Angeles.
Last February 26, 2022, Clique-Now launched its most recent venture, the "specialguest" with its inaugural event, "The Neighborhood at the Factory Place". It was both an inspiring and enthralling occasion where visitors got to shop from local Arts District small businesses, upcycle their used t-shirts, and join in giveaways. Brands and sponsors who participated include Uprisers, Clique-Now, Cropsticks, BakeUSA, Cali Star Entertainment, Coco dealers, Rewilder, Rx Los Angeles, Hab Nail, Lavender, The House of Suntory, and Petite Peso.
